Director and Chief Executive Officer
Terence Seow joined Jurong Port as Chief Executive Officer and a member of our Board on 1 September 2022. He was also appointed as a member of the Executive Committee and Human Resource Committee.
Prior to joining Jurong Port, Terence oversaw two major functions – Corporate, Policy and Planning Group and the Enterprise Cluster Group – as Assistant Chief Executive Officer of JTC. He was also covering the position of Chief Digital Officer.
Terence has more than 25 years of experience in the public sector. He started his career in 1995 with then Trade Development Board (later International Enterprise Singapore and today Enterprise Singapore), rose to the rank of Group Director of the Planning Group and concurrently as CIO before he was appointed as ACEO in 2011 where he oversaw the groups of Capability Development, Lifestyle Business, Technology Business and International-Organisation. Terence was seconded to JTC as Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Corporate, Policy and Planning) in 2014, and subsequently absorbed in JTC’s service in 2017.
Terence graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He attained a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University, through a scholarship awarded by International Enterprise Singapore. In 2018, he was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in recognition of his contribution to the Public Service.

Jurong Port began operations in 1965 as a general and bulk cargo port, serving the development needs of Singapore’s Jurong industrial estate. Today, its main gateway terminal in Singapore welcomes more than 15,000 vessels each year from both the region and internationally.
