CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
In support and commitment to National Parks Board’s One Million Trees movement, management and staff from the Environmental Sustainability Office planted several trees on Jurong Island on 6 December 2021.
The One Million Trees movement aims to transform Singapore into a City in Nature by 2030, while also mitigating the effects of climate change. The added greenery at Jurong Island will help to cool the industrial areas, improve air quality, and introduce flora and fauna for a liveable and sustainable environment.
The tree planting initiative symbolises Jurong Port’s continuous commitment to going green and creates greater ownership and responsibility to do our part for the environment.
