Mr Ramaswami is a Finance, Technology & Operations professional with over 35 years of international experience, including 12 years at Singapore Exchange (SGX), 21 years at Citibank and 3 years at Nestle.
Mr. Ramaswami retired as President of Singapore Exchange on 1 October 2019. In various roles at the Singapore Exchange, he had broad responsibilities and helmed Technology, Operations, Product Management and Marketing and International Coverage with responsibility for all regulated subsidiaries of the Exchange.
Mr Ramaswami joined SGX from Citigroup where he held senior positions across Operations, Technology and Transaction Banking in various locations including Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York.
In addition to Jurong Port, Mr Ramaswami also serves on the boards of GovTech Singapore, National University Health System (NUHS) and Jurong Town Corporation (JTC). He previously served on the boards of Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) and several of SGX’s subsidiaries including the Energy Market Company.
Mr Ramaswami holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics (Honours) from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (Masters in Business Administration) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Mr Ramaswami joined Jurong Port Board of Director on 1 October 2020 and was appointed the Audit & Risk Committee Chairman.
