Ooi Boon Hoe

Chief Executive Officer

Ooi Boon Hoe joined Jurong Port as Chief Executive Officer and a member of our Board on 21 August 2014.

Boon Hoe has had more than twenty years' experience in both the public and private sectors. He started his career with the Republic of Singapore Navy and the Ministry of Defence. In the private sector, Boon Hoe worked in DBS Bank as a corporate finance professional before joining Portek International in 2002. At Portek, Boon Hoe held various key positions including Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Boon Hoe graduated with a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honors, Economics) from the University of London; he also attended the College Interarmee De Defense, Paris, France; and he obtained a 1st Class Pass from Britannia Royal Naval College. He was a recipient of the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Training Award, and Singapore Armed Forces Merit Scholarship.

Michael Goh

Chief Corporate Services Officer

Michael joined Jurong Port as Chief Human Resource Officer on 1 September 2014. 

On 1 February 2017, he was redesignated to Chief Corporate Services Officer. The umbrella of corporate services division will include the transformation of safety and security as well as the consolidated shared services such as human resources, legal and central procurement.

Michael has had more than 20 years of broad-based HR experience, particularly in the areas of change management and the resolution of complex and sensitive people issues.

Starting his HR career as a Graduate Trainee in Keppel Group, Michael rose quickly to the position of Personnel Manager leading the Personnel Department for Keppel Integrated Engineering. Since then, he has held managerial and senior management positions in well-known Singapore-based companies and multi-national corporations such as Reuters Singapore, Microsoft Operations and Singapore Exchange.

Prior to joining Jurong Port, Michael was the Head of Human Resources for Group Digital L!fe in Singtel.

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management.

Terence Moo

Chief Business Development Officer

Terence Moo has been with Jurong Port since 1998.

Terence has had more than 20 years of experience in shipping and port business. He started his career with Neptune Orient Lines Ltd from 1988 to 1997 in various commercial and operational roles and was posted to Germany for four years as their commercial representative in Europe.

In Jurong Port, he helped to set up and established its Container Terminal. He also held other responsibilities including Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Development and as Senior Vice President International Terminals. He is responsible for the port’s expansion overseas in China and Indonesia and for managing projects in Singapore.

Terence holds a Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Civil) from the National University of Singapore and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Singapore Institute of Management. He also completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Saw Kok Wei

Chief Financial Officer

Saw Kok Wei joined Jurong Port as our Chief Financial Officer in Sept 2013.

Kok Wei brings with him several years of commercial and financial experience across a number of industries in the UK, Singapore, Indonesia and China. After graduation, he started his career with Arthur Young in London as an auditor. Since then he has worked for Chase Manhattan, Inchcape Berhad, Nike South East Asia, and Merck Sharp & Dohme. 

Prior to joining Jurong Port, Kok Wei was with Electrolux for ten years as: Vice President Finance & Administration, East Asia; General Manager for Indonesia; Chief Financial Officer for China; and Deputy Head of Strategy, Electrolux Asia Pacific. 

Kok Wei also sits as an independent non-executive director on the Board of Hong Leong Financial Group of Malaysia as well as Hong Leong Assurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

Kok Wei holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Accounting & Finance from The University of Warwick.

Tan Wee Meng

Chief Technical Officer

Tan Wee Meng was appointed as Chief Technical Officer of Jurong Port on July 2015.

Wee Meng has been with Jurong Port since September 2005. Upon graduation, he started his career with PSA in the Container Terminal Engineering department. Over the next 14 years, he has worked in almost all aspects of the port equipment engineering, inclusive of fleet management and procurement of quay cranes, rubber-tyred gantry cranes, and he was also part of the pioneer team for the PSA AGV pilot project.

He started as Senior Manager of Equipment Engineering in Jurong Port in September 2005, and was involved in various aspects of the port equipment fleet management projects. He subsequently took on wider responsibilities inclusive of infrastructural development and planning.

Wee Meng holds a Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) from the National University of Singapore. He also completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Samuel Siew

Chief Operations Officer

Samuel Siew joined Jurong Port as our Chief Operations Officer in July 2015.

Prior to joining Jurong Port, Samuel was the Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain for Honeywell Aerospace Asia-Pacific. He has broad experience managing factories; leading large operations and transition projects. Between 2000-2012, he held various leadership positions at Honeywell, which includes being the General Manager of its Loyang aftermarket operation; Managing Director and President-Director of the Chai Chee-Bintan manufacturing sites; Penang factory site leader, as well as the Senior Director for all electrical operations in the region. He was made Vice President at Honeywell in 2012, and led the team to high levels of operational performance.

Prior to joining Honeywell, Samuel worked for Perkin Elmer Singapore as the Marketing Manager for sensor products, and he was subsequently the Business Manager for the company’s photo electronics business. He also worked at the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore from 1993 to 1997.

Samuel holds a First Class Honors Bachelor Degree (Aeronautical Engineering) from Bristol University in England, where he was an EDB-Glaxo scholar and winner of the University's Raul Haphner prize. He earned his MBA (with distinction) from the University of Nottingham.

Desmond Lim

Chief Commercial Officer

Desmond Lim joined Jurong Port as our Chief Commercial Officer in October 2015.

Prior to joining Jurong Port, Desmond was the Country Managing Director for Panalpina World Transport, Singapore; one of the top five freight forwarders globally. He joined Panalpina in 2011 as the Area Head of Air Freight, Southeast Asia. He has strong commercial and business background especially negotiating contracts with large multinationals. He was promoted to Country Managing Director, Singapore in 2013, and was made a Listed Director of the Panalpina Singapore Company as well as an a appointed member of the Logistics Skills Council by Singapore WDA.

Desmond started his career with Singapore Airlines (SIA) / SIA Cargo as a Sales & Marketing Executive. He quickly rose to the position of Regional Marketing Manager of West Asia and Africa in 2003. In 2005, he was the Executive Assistant to President and concurrently assumed the role of Programme Manager for the WOW Alliance. Desmond also took on several overseas assignments to countries like Atlanta, USA; Bali, Indonesia; and Abu Dhabi, UAE. Desmond was the Global Sales & Distribution Manager before he left to join Panalpina World Transport in 2011.

Desmond holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology (First Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore, and was placed on the university's inaugural Vice Chancellor's List.
